Take Home Final Exam
Due by noon on Tuesday, May 11, in Winn 103 (instructor’s box)
Write one approximately 2000-word (7 to 8 pages) essay describing and assessing pragmatic approaches to religion.
Pick two or three issues (religious experience generally, mysticism in particular, God, religious institutions) and at least three thinkers (James, Santayana, Dewey, Wieman, Macintosh, Otto, Randall, Bernstein, Westbrook, Rosenthal, Boisvert, Vaught and Rockefeller) to examine in order to describe and assess pragmatic understandings and reconstructions of religion.
